One of my newbies,Tippi ,is red eyed, which I've never had before.
When she stands still, her head sways slowly from side to side,a bit like a snake!
In every other way, when running and playing with the others ,she is agile and lively. She also holds her food and eats normally.
Is this strange head movement linked to poor eyesight?I know she is almost blind as she doesn't see my hand or food I offer until its virtually touching her nose.

Like LoopyLupins has said,

Like LoopyLupins has said, it's nothing to worry about. Connie was ruby eyed but didn't head-weave much, but my little Nikki of many years ago, my first girlie, was all white and pink eyed and head-weaved a LOT! But her poor eyesight never interfered with her life. It just can look a little strange at times.

A lot of my pink eyed rats

A lot of my pink eyed rats have done this too, it's nothing to worry about! I think it helps them to focus better as their eye sight isn't very good. They can be quite funny to watch when doing it!

I had a pink eyed bunny who was the same & ended up being called Weaver as he did it so often (weaving his head from side to side).
