Alopecia is the loss or absence of hair, concentrating in one area or widespread. There are many different causes of alopecia:

• Barbering
• Bite (fight wounds)
• Dermatitis
• Dermatophytosis
• Ectoparasites
• Muzzle alopecia
• Pasteurella pneumotropica
• Staphylococcus aureus
