Hooded Rats
Most common pattern. Coloured head and shoulders with a line running straight down the back to the tail. The remainder of the body is white.

This variety first appeared in the mid-1800's. The black hooded (above) and the Agouti hooded (right) are the two most common, although many other colours are found.
